ORCHESTRA

The Mt. Carmel High School Orchestra is an integral part of the school’s renowned music department, offering students the opportunity to grow as musicians, performers, and leaders. This nationally recognized program has demonstrated consistent musical excellence throughout its 35+ year history. Through collaboration, dedication, and a shared love of music, our orchestra students continue a proud tradition of excellence both on and off the stage.

About the Ensembles

String Orchestra
The String Orchestra is open to all string players and focuses on developing strong fundamentals, ensemble techniques, and expressive musicianship. Students perform a wide range of repertoire - from classical masterworks to modern compositions - and gain experience performing in both small and large ensemble settings.

Symphony Orchestra
The Symphony Orchestra is Mt. Carmel’s advanced ensemble, combining members of the String Orchestra with select winds, brass, and percussion from Wind Ensemble 1. This full symphonic group performs challenging and diverse literature, representing the highest level of musical performance at MCHS.
